The mission of the Holmes District Media Center [DMC] is to assist teachers in making their teaching more effective through the use of instructional media. Materials and resources are provided through the DMC to supplement the curriculum throughout the district.
VHS / DVD programs, books, and audio books are provided for check-out through our online catalog that provides interactive searching of the District Media Center collection. Teachers may email requests to dmc@hdsb.org or call 850-547-9341. Requested items will be delivered to your school the following courier day. Please include the title, item number (i.e., VT426 or DVD13), and the day(s) needed.
We are excited to announce that Holmes District School Board was awarded a $215,236 Improving Literacy Through School Libraries (ILTSL) grant this year. School library media centers have an important role to contribute to the success of local reading improvement efforts by increasing collaboration between instructional and school library media center staff, providing additional instructional materials and resources, and extending hours of operation during non-school hours.
